Ronald W. (Ron) Hovsepian was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Novell, Inc. After the successful acquisition of Novell by Attachmate Corporation, Hovsepian and most of his leadership team left Novell on April 25th, 2011.
Hovsepian held management and executive positions at IBM Corporation over a 17 year period, including worldwide general manager of IBM's distribution industries, managing global hardware and software development, sales, marketing and services.
He later served as a managing director of Internet Capital Group, a venture capital firm founded by Ken Fox and Walter Buckley before joining Novell in June 2003.
Hovsepian is non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ann Taylor Corporation. Hovsepian received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College.
He led the Microsoft and Novell deal that was announced in October 2006 [1][2].
